Answer a specific question
Each lesson or article has a defined learning goal, a direct explanation and a task the reader can try. We distinguish a rules reference from advice about a practical decision. We do not invent search volumes, player credentials, games, engine results or performance promises.
Check the board
Composed examples are labelled illustrative positions. Legal variations are replayed from their stated FEN, preserving side to move and history fields. Checkmate and stalemate examples receive explicit outcome checks. Parsing a FEN does not establish that every composed position has a legal history.
A teaching line may show one defensive choice without claiming it is best. Engine-backed claims must record actual evidence and search limits. A claim of forced mate requires more than a cooperative legal line ending in mate.
Rules, sources and review
Rules lessons refer to the FIDE Laws of Chess and distinguish over-the-board claim procedures from platform behaviour. Strategic explanations are original teaching prose. New material in this local edition is AI-assisted, technically checked and awaiting an identified operator’s editorial review. No human expert review is claimed.
“Prepared” records when the draft was written. Publication dates are only assigned when publication occurs. Material changes update the modification date; builds and page visits do not. Archived articles retain their historical publication dates and are not silently labelled as newly reviewed.
Corrections and advertising
Corrections should identify the page, diagram and disputed move or claim. See Contact. Advertising eligibility is limited to explicitly approved static lessons and articles; pending drafts, archived material, private chats, Coach, account pages and error states are excluded by default. No advertisements are enabled in this edition.
